Artist bio:
Antonio was born and raised near Porto, Portugal. He moved to NYC in his teens and received a BA in Art Education from Montclair State University. He is currently residing in Northern New Jersey. The artist uses large canvases as he enjoys the physical challenge of painting on a large scale. The results are long, contour lines with curves that are consistent elements in his artworks. Antonio became a T5 paraplegic in 1987 and started wheelchair racing. He is a two time Paralympic and participated in marathons, half marathons and 10k races in Europe, North America and Asia. He continues to race. He has been teaching for 24 years full time as an art teacher in the Jersey City public schools. It is Antonio’s first time showing in VR and we are excited to welcome him and share his work world wide though our community in the #Metaverse. |
