My paintings and drawings exist somewhere between the representational and non-representational and it blurs the lines between high art and low art. There are familiar images that are put together in an unorthodox way, one would think these pictures are not supposed to work together but yet co-exist. The figures are distorted and stylized, at times highly rendered and others left at sketch quality. They are business people, worldly young adults and old-school sophisticates each trying to find their bigger purpose and footing in the world. But they are hanging in a limbo, in a midsts of chaos and turmoil, searching for answers, and it is unclear what will happen next...

Jack Avetisyan is an Armenian-American artist whose paintings display various distinctive identities.
